User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsAfter all the high reviews, I decided on this place. The chips and salsa were good. I ordered the #1-Taco, enchilada(cheese) and tostada with beans. Nothing was very good. No sauce on the enchilada. The cheese tasted like velveeta. I ordered tamales to go. Didn't think you could screw those up. Ate them later and they were OK. I can make better (I am traveling or I would). If you compare to KS Mexican food, it is mediocre. Compare to my home San Diego, it is a 1 out of 10. I rate this place 2 stars for POOR, it was edible so I upgraded from awful. If this is the best place in Wichita, I feel sorry for anyone wanting authentic Mexican food without making it themselves.

La Chinita's has the best authentic Mexican food in Wichita. Their Nachos Supreme is wonderful! I love their tacos, too. My only complaint is that cheese doesn't come on their tacos. One must order that on the side.
Right after being seated someone will arrive with your water and chips and dip. You may order the kitchen sauce for no additional charge. It is a spicy heated green sauce with pieces of pork.
The service is great! I have never had to wait for someone to fill my water glass. They are always there.
The prices are reasonable.
