User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI know many of the people at Leekers, and some that I do not know, and they always say hello to me when I walk in. They are really great about recognizing who you are even if they do not know your name. Mr. Leeker is wonderful he takes care of his costomers and expects his managers and employees to do the same. I think it is a great grocery store to shop in.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsLast weekend my wife and I went to this store to take advatage of their sale on pork roast. We ended up just getting one small roast for around $7. When we tried to check out, the checker called the manager over to okay our check. No problem. The manager then proceeded to interogate my wife as to why she was shopping so far from home (maybe 10 miles away). My wife told her that we were interested in the ad we had seen in the paper. The manager then informered her, "Well, we USUALLY don't take checks from out of the area!" My wife informed HER that: A) Wichita is only a few blocks from her store, and B) if they don't want any Wichita business, why do they advertize in the Wichita Paper?? I can guarantee you that my wife will never go out of her way to shop there again. I will be very reluctant to do so.

I do not know where you have shopped, but we find Leekers to be very competative. Most of their meats are not filled with that watery chemicals found in many grocery stores. We have also compared prices and have found that many of their items beat Dillons and WalMart prices.

I have shopped at Leekers since they opened and have never heard any staff talk like that to a customer, but I have seen the staff get some abusive remarks from customers. I hope you try again.
I have shopped at Leekers for 10 years. They are the most friendly store I've been in since I was a child growing up in a small community in eastern Kansas. I am a thrifty shopper, since we are a single-income family. Their sale items are to good to pass up. Their prices are comparable to Dillons on normal items. They double coupons, and mark down produce, bread, milk, meat...etc. They slice my meats-even if they are marked down! which NONE of the big Wichita stores will do for me anymore. (I've asked!) Their quality is excellent, and they go above and beyond in their services to the customer. We have gotten cake boxes that they sold to us at cost, catered a banquet(half the cost), had meats smoked-(they just threw in the barbecue sauce at no charge), gotten boxes for friends who have needed them to move, posted notices on their bulletin board, and at times, the manager and owner have actually carried my groceries out to my car! I love shopping there, because I can sense honesty and integrity in the people. Try attending one of their "customer appreciation breakfasts"-free of charge to the public! I'm sorry for your bad experience, but you got a misguided first impression, and I see no need to try to discredit a reputable and customer-honoring company. Thank you Leekers
