We choose this place over several others; coyote canyon, logans road house and russell's restaurant. And it was worth it, yes.

It is easy to find and a nice leisurely drive too. The small town belies the cafe and the quality of the food. We both had pasta dishes. Mine was a penne and italian sausage in vodka tomato sauce, The wife had the renaissance pasta.

Both had Gorgonzola salads with pecans and cranberries. Nice.

Our waitress was Kelly. She was fabulous and attentive without hovering.

They do reservations mostly but will take walk ins as space permits. I would call ahead though we got right in.

Would do this cafe again any time we are in the area.

A note; walk around a bit to enjoy the inside.

My husand and I recently ate at the Renaissance Cafe for our anniversary. The service was very professional with the waitress checking in with us, always keeping our drinks full and making sure our meal was okay. The food was FABULOUS! Excellent gourment meals that you don't find just anywhere - especially on the plains of Kansas. I highly recommend The Renaissance Cafe for a truly memorable meal.

My favorite place near Salina for food.: Best place near Salina to eat. Recommend the cardamon duck. The bread is excellent. You won't be disappointed. No upcharge to share a plate. Don't know if they have a kids menu.
