I ate there not too long ago. My boyfriend and I were just walking around downtown and were hungry. It was the first place we came upon and so we stopped in. Both of us were very satisfied afterwords. I had the chicken fried steak which was very good! Sad to say I've been to numerous resturants since then and haven't had a chicken fried steak near as good. The survice was also very good! I'd recommend it to anyone!
I think the verdict may still be out on this restauraunt. Having been a patron here several times, I can say that this place comes alive in the winter! It's has the atmosphere of a big city but the service integrity of a small town. The food is.... food. The frustration that I have with the Mar-Mars (editor's note: in reference to Martinis and Martinelli's who are both owned by brothers)is that their food consist mostly of what Sysco (mass food distrubuter) has to offer. That's not cooking, that's reheating. I can cook stoufers or thaw Sarah Lee at my home. I come to a eatery to experience, experience something that I can't have at my home and I just can't say that for Martini's. But nonetheless as I have said before the ambience and service is like no other. But don't take my word for it, experience it for your self.
The Critic
The Steakhouse was better than I thought after reading some of the reviews. It's not the absolute best steak I've tasted but it was very good (Cajun Steak). If ever my travels bring me to Salina again, I would visit the establishment again. Signed, Batman#3
