We bought the steaks because he assured us they were fork tender, at least he said, the filets and peppercorn steaks and T-Bones. The rest, he said, were butter knife tender. NOT. After sawing through my first bacon wrapped filet, (thats what the box says) with a steak knife I gave them the benefit of the doubt. After trying 4 different steaks, I have yet to find one as tender as they claimed. The T-bones are sliced thin and cook so quickly you can't walk away from the grill. The bacon wrapped filets take a long time to thaw, which kinda blows the whole "saves you time" sales pitch. We haven't even tried the "less tender "cuts yet. When I tried to call the company to see about that "satisfaction guarantee", I got no answer. I'll keep trying to call. I want to see them live up to their promise.
I know this hick all of these people are speaking of. I actually have purchased my meat from this company for the last 2 years and have never had a complaint. I have done banquets, work luncheons, among other activities and at each function, the meat was praised. He has always been very nice and even helps when he knows we were running on tough times. How many companies today can you say do that?
Well I had seen them in the neighbor hood earlier this day then they had come to my door. I though I would not be rude and asked for a menu to look at. The guy came back to my door and insisted that he come in to show me a box of meat quoted me a price of $319.00. I told him that I was not interested and he became some what of a different man and was no longer the same man that knocked on the door. I told him that money was tight and that $319.00 did not fit my budget right now and him then tried to sell me $60.00 worth of meat. I told him tanks but no. I told him if I wanted to try there product that I would contact them. He still would not take no for an answer. Finally I said I was not interested and walked to my front door in hope he would get the hint. Finally he did and left upset.
