I will never go there again. When they were on Fort Crook their food was amazing. But now that they moved, something changed. I went in there with my parents and the food was burnt. They apologized and refunded us. That was nice.
Me and my husband went in there today, giving them another chance because hey! everybody makes mistakes. Well the food was obviously burnt and maybe it was just grill marks, took a couple bites and all you could taste was burnt salted food.
So we went up there and told them it was burnt and the lady literally started yelling at me saying thats how Mongolian food is cooked and that the grill always burns the food so its not their fault. The guy offered to steam it for us and the lady started yelling at him about wasting food and then turned to us and started yelling at us to go around and ask the other customers if theirs was burnt. I didn't want to make a scene so I just walked out.
Our total came to $29. Well when my husband asked for a refund, she said the food being burnt was his fault. And she kept saying she wasn't going to give us anything. Well then she threw another fit and went to the cash register and told us since we "took bites" that she would only give us half... so she gave us $10. Understanding I wasn't asking for a full refund because of drinks, but we hardly touched our plates! And then she started yelling at him again saying we should go tell all the customers that they burned our food.
I will never go there again. That matter could have been handled discretely but she blew it all out of proportion & blamed the whole thing on us.
This place rocks. Best Mongolian I've EVER had. Super friendly owners. Every time I have a day off, I go here. Make sure you try the hot and sour soup. I have had lots of hot and sour from other places, and none can compare. Portions are huge. If you get the large, you can make it into at least three full meals.
We have been going there at least for five years, at the old location and at the new. Peter and Jenny are nice and fun chinese people. The food is good, the people are good. It is all good. We love that place. It's on one of our top ten in Omaha area. We don't like big corporate places. We like down home, ma and pa places like Khan's.
Peter and Jenny can help you figure out how to get the ingredients . We always get a bowl of rice and then mix all the veggies and meats into the bowls. They are good cooks. Five stars!
