| About: | The aroma of authentic Italian food greets you at the door. Guests choose from a variety of freshly made pastas and sauces, thin crust pizzas and other tasty options. The decor is casual, so informal dress is recommended. Although this is a perfect place for dinner with someone special, space is at a premium. The parking lot is small, and, since no reservations are accepted, the wait for a table can average at least an hour on the weekends. Lo Sole Mio's Villa, located across the street, offers several comfortable party rooms and private parking. |

The only thing good about this place is the bruschetta and roasted garlic to spread on the table bread. We lived in Italy for 3 years and know what authentic Italian food is and this place is no more Italian than a bowl of Chef Boyardee. Honestly, the red spaghetti sauce is awlful. You get better store brand sauce than theirs. The white sauce isn't as bad. The seafood is pungently unfresh. Their food is way over-priced for what you get, and I can't get over the fact that they charge you money if you want to split a plate of food with someone! Ridiculous!
Go there for the nice quaint Italian restaurant atmosphere, the bruchetta and the wine, but not for the food!! I'm certain that all the entrees are prepared ahead of time and microwaved! All of the sauces are too salty. The pasta tastes like it came out of the box. I'm sorry to say this. If you know anything about authentic Italian food you won't be satisfied with your meal.
This is a good place for a glass of wine and bruchetta but NOT a place for fine Italian cuisine.
I gave one star instead of zero because there was outstanding service and decent appetizers. Our entrees, however left much to be desired...
My wife, our two infant daughters, and I went here on a Friday evening recently. Several colleagues at work praised the place. The staff was extremely helpful in getting us situated and even stored our stroller for us. They served us minestrone and bruschetta while we waited for our meal to arrive. Both were delicious and our hopes increased that our dinners would be even better. What arrived at our table could have come straight out of a HungryMan "Eye-talian Style" TV dinner box and whipped up in a non-rotating microwave. I cannot tell you how disappointed my wife and I were. I mean, Fazoli's does better on at least adding some authentic flavor to their sauces. Or I should say FoodPak seasons Fazoli's sauce better. I would have preferred to have ketchup on my lasagne than the lifeless thin red water they smothered it in. We took home our copious leftovers so that we could take turns throwing the box against the side of my house and cursing Lo Sole Mio's name. I hope they go out of business soon so that a Taco Bell can take over and get closer to Italian Cuisine than these clowns. Speaking of clowns, how about just have some scary clowns bring your food to the table, so at least you can just think that somehow your life had turned into some sort of absurd nightmare instead of that really being what you're expected to eat. Bottom Line: I'll just make it at home from now on.
