I use to be a hostess and I absolutely love their food! Sharon's enchiladas and the koko salad are great and would recommend both. When I worked there I remember a customer from Portland,OR said he loved the fish tacos and that they were some of the best he had ever had.

Ok I have to admit, I am smitten with the place. Have been to Omaha on business 5 times in the past year and can't wait for dinner time to head to Stokes in Old Town. Love the relaxed atmosphere and style of the place that reminds me of memories of Tucson witihout the HEAT. Jonny's Big Plate rocks and you can make a meal out of the mussels, shrimp and Fusion wraps too. Now if I can just get them to create one in Minneapolis I can die a happy man. The fact that it is part of a group or eateries that includes OLD COUNTRY Buffet doesn't seem to matter! Don't change a thing!

The food is very good. Their salsa is fantastic. The mussels are wonderful. But you can't get nachos with beef on it. This seems like an oversight to me. If I really want nachos, I sure don't want chicken. They advertise themselves as casual dinning. Yet their prices are anything but casual. Anytime I go in dressed for a casual day of shopping in the Old Market, I feel too under dressed for the atmosphere and prices of Stokes. Makes me feel like a homeless person sitting in a 5 star french restaurant. Totally out of place.
