While I can agree with some that the service isn't what it used to be, the food is great. They use high quality beef for steaks and burgers, and this is one of only a few places I'll eat seafood. but the seafood does change daily except for salmon. Their beer is awesome!
Lazlo's is an excellent restaurant that lincoln is very proud to have. From the home town brew's to the wonderful food , atmosphere, and service, this place has it all.
Why is everyone so in love with this place? There menu hasent changed in years, even the "specials" are the same every week. I don't define good service as someone coming to my table every 10 seconds asking if I would like another beer, you cant talk to your table mates as every time you get started there is someone asking if you would like more of this or that, even though someone already is off to get it. 10 years ago this was the gold standard for Lincoln now they have been surpassed by others in food and service.
The food is basic bar food at best. They have there own take on basic burgers and fries. One thing that I really don't like is how there burgers are topped, some say they come with "Magic Spread" or something like this, and it comes out to be tartar sauce, no where do they tell you what this is in the menu, they use sweet pickles instead of dill, the list goes on. The last time I went there with a friend of mine, by the time we left off this and added that, they might as well of called it something completely different. Steaks are OK, I find red fox is better, along with a few other places. They claim ther fish is flowen in everyday, don't know how they could get that done on a Sunday when any fish market I know of is closed (I worked in food for a number of years).
The one saving grace would be there beer, the seasonal beer is usally very good.
