About:	Established in 1936 as the Alliance Railroad Credit Union, Western Heritage Credit Union today serves anyone who lives in one of the 12 counties in the Nebraska panhandle, with almost $56 million in assets and approximately 8,000 members. Each member becomes a lifetime member-owner of Western Heritage Credit Union with a minimum investment of $25 dollars. Our purpose is to promote thrift among our members and to make loans to members from these collected savings. Loan repayments generate income. This income may then be dispersed to member-owners through dividends. Because there are no stockholders, other than the member-owners, profits are returned to these member-owners in the form of high yields on savings, low loan rates, and low fees. Western Heritage Credit Union is a full-service financial institution, with offices in Alliance, Gering and Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Members may conveniently use many of our services 24 hours a day from anywhere in the country.
