    With the exception of a few nice people who work there, this is easily the worst place I have ever purchased a vehicle from.

    The Pre-Owned Sales Manager was one of the rudest, and most god awful people I have had to deal with.

    I had several problems with the vehicle within the first week of owning it. The vehicle was sold without a Radiator Cap, which surprisingly causes a Lot of problems for a vehicle. I called and tried to speak with someone who could help me out with my issues, but no one answered to phone, or returned my messages. It took me driving up there on my lunchbreak with an Overheating car to get the problems fixed.

    I am still dealing with issues from the dealership to this day. The people at Royla Honda forgot to mail in a payment to my Warranty Company. The Warranty company then drafted the money from my checking account, putting me in the negative. Again, I call and no one returns my calls. Of the 5 times I have purchased a vehicle, this is absolutely the most stressful and painful experience I have ever had.

    I have a 2000 V6 Accord with 160K mi as of 1/4/09. Great car, few minor electrical issues. The vehicle was purchased used with 75K mi at Royal and the purchase was a good experience. However, the post-sale experience is AWFUL.

    I had to bring it in three times for the exact same problem. They had to kill two batteries before they realized that the alternator was going bad. Marvelous.

    Next, I brought it in for a 60K and timing belt services - netting 1,400 bucks (with a free rental for a day - yippee ). After I got the car back, it turned out that the P/S fluid and coolant were both at the low mark. Unbelievable. But you just wait, it gets better! The coolant should have been flushed and refilled with "blue" coolant (as the receipt stated). Guess what was still sloshing around in the reservoir? GREEN! (I did a flush at Midas last).

    So I return to the dealership and get turned around, told to come back the next day! I refuse to be treated like crap, so I reach Thomas Hines - Service Manager. Good 'ole Tommy tells me that it's green because of CONTAMINATION and offers to top the fluids off. So I agree, with a promise that he will investigate whether or not there was anything forgotten on the service.

    For a week I get ignored. I had to physically come in and leave a paper note for him to actually give me a call. When I got the call, he recited me that Royal has a pristine reputation and his mechanic DOES NOT MAKE MISTAKES. Are you kidding me?! He refused to even inspect the car, once again citing the amazing reputation of Royal Honda. What a pompous jerk!

    Verdict: STAY AWAY. THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOU AND SCREW YOU OVER. I'm going to Superior and letting them take care of my car from now on.

    Great service: I am new to New Orleans and didn't know who to trust to fix my 10 year old Honda. I took a chance and called Royal Honda and received royal treatment. The problem was diagnosed, I was called as promised and the problem was explained to me. The door to door shuttle service was way more than I expected, and since the work could not be completed in one day, the shuttle dropped me off at the car rental that Royal had arranged for me. The problem was fixed to my satisfaction. I will go back again to have my car serviced and look forward to buying a car there. By the way, the other customers I met there all seemed to be repeat customers with good things to say also.
