I live in Gordon, NE and you have the Western Cafe located on the wrong side of main street. The Western Cafe is located on the west side of main street not the east side.

The Western Cafe recently underwent new ownership. The new owner is a 22yr young Chinese Girl along with her parents(In chg of Chinese menu). There are some language barriers. This cafe USED to have all homemade food, but due to chg in employees, it has taken a dive and lost a lot of local business.You never know when the place will be open(I guess whenever the employees decide to show up). We would rather go to Antelope Creek Cafe or the Italian Inn for decent food and reliable hours of operation!!

American Diner or Asian Restaurant? Great food!: A typical diner, but hidden secret!

When I visited this restaurant, it looked plain... nothing fancy... but when you sit down, you get two menus! One for typical American fare... and the other for Asian!

My family and I ordered many different selections. The 'Seafood in bird's nest' ($12.50) is the Chef's specialty and it was amazing! Other notable selections include Mongolian beef ($8.00) and Mu Shiu pork ($7.50)... it was the best I EVER had... really! Everything else was amazing.

I try to visit my family a few times a year in this part of the Midwest, and I'm in town, I visit this great restaurant!

In the middle of nowhere... this is an oasis!
