Love it: Love the place. We go to New Orleans twice a year to enjoy Bourbon Street and the Alibi is the best. We eat at least 2 times a day at the Alibi.
This bar will go down in history....: The Alibi is a dive bar for locals. Located just a block off Bourbon Street, it seems to avoid most of the "touristy" vibe. It boasts an extensive menu of beers from all around the world. Patrons can also keep a track of what beers they have ordered at the bar and recieve a free t-shirt when they have completed the 'around the world' beer tasting. The Alibi is also a favorite of employees of the service industry because they have a full bar menu which they serve until 4am. (Suprisingly, I used to live on they're chef salad when I worked on Bourbon-it's delicious!) The prices at the Alibi are quite moderate as well. Aside from consumption, The Alibi has a great rock and roll juke box. Unfortunately, the got rid of my favorite aspect-the pool table. Apparently the bar started tp become so popular that they needed the space. Still a bummer though. And finally, I must add that none of this may exist any longer. The Alibi may remain a memory. My thoughts are with all New Orleans residents. May your lives recover as peacfully and quickly as possible.
