User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsVery friendly people, though I must admit a few of their dishes are below average. We have eaten there several times, but may or may not again because of the disappointment in our meals. The recent meals consisted of Sesame Chicken, Boneless Chicken, and Shrimp & Broccoli. The Sesame Chicken smelled like burnt grease and tasted as it smelled (not the first time we ordered this, and each time was a disappointment. We continued to order in hopes it was a mishap and therefore gave the benefit of a doubt). The Boneless Chicken had no flavor whatsoever. It reminded me of Southern smothered chicken & gravy without any seasoning. Salt, pepper, and other spices were required to get some sort of delightful taste from it. The shrimp & broccoli was acceptable. Not a dish to rave over, but no complaints either.
The bottom line is some dishes are pretty good, but if you are looking for a wide range of great tasting dishes, perhaps choose another restaurant.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWe purchased a dinner for two to go, with several extra items, and the food was not fresh and was only lukewarm. The Sesame Chicken had a burned aroma and the taste confirmed the smell. We called Chinese King to tell them of the burned Sesame Chicken, and we were told that no one else complained about the food, and they would not exchange for another item or refund our money for this burned entree and abruptly hung up the phone. I have purchased many meals from Chinese King, and never have I had such a bad experience. What happened to " Customer Satisfaction". With the rising cost of food, not just take out, and the accelerating economy, no one can afford to throw meals into the garbage because of inept preparation. I'm truly disappointed in Chinese King, and I wanted other patrons to know about this experience. I will not patronize this restaurant anymore, and I will share this with others that probably will not read this review. Shame on you Chines King, have you forgotten the meaning of " COURTESY" also.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsChinese King is the only Chinese place I will eat in Louisiana! I've tried other and gagged! After eating here, you'll never to back to the mall food court, Dragon Garden, or anywhere else for that matter ever again!!!

Well if you weren't satisfied with your dinner then you should have asked for the owner and tell them about your situation. I'm sure that they would have let you exchange your item or make another one for you at no cost. I know this because I am the owners' daughter and on behalf of Chinese King, I would like to apologize for your bad experience with us.
This is a very late comment, I haven't visited this site for a long time, I was told that I was speaking to the owner, the phone was supposedly given to him. Thank you for the apology, I wish that you were there the night we wasted over thirty dollars on cold, burned food.
