| About: | The central business district of New Orleans is home to one of the city's grandest hotels, the 1880s-era Le Pavillion. Having survived the Great Depression, this historic building is often called "The Belle of New Orleans".The Belle continues to practice traditions of old in these modern days, all the while staying true to the meaning of Southern hospitality. One such tradition is a nightcap of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches served with hot chocolate or cold milk each evening in the lobby. The Egyptian Ballroom accommodates 190 for a seated dinner party or 250 for a reception. The Paris Ballroom can seat up to 190 guests and can accommodate up to 250 for a reception. For smaller, more intimate events, the boardrooms can seat from 18 to 50 guests. |

My husband and I spent our short honeymoon at Le Pavillon back in July. The place is very beautiful and is an excellent area. When we checked in (me still in my wedding dress) they upgraded us to a deluxe king, AND sent up a bottle of their house champange in celebration. (At the bar, a glass cost $8) The room was always clean. The only complaint I had was the air conditioner. It sounded like a diesel engine starting up. The PBJ sandwiches were totally cool...days after we had left there my husband and I were still talking about it. We also especially loved the pool and hot tub on the roof. It was great to go to at about midnight and just relax. Would reccommend to anyone and will be going back soon.
True New Orleans flare with alot of style! Hotel is beautiful, the staff goes above and beyond and great location. Not to mention the rooftop view is amazing. Would definitely recommend this hotel if looking for the true New Orleans experience. Also it the only hotel in Louisiana that is registered as one of th best hotels in the world.
I just loved this place. We were there for the Sugar Bowl and New Years Eve. It was our first time to New Orleans. Our plane had been delayed and we did not arrive at the hotel until after 4am. We were starving and able to get room service at that time of the morning, I was extremely happy about that. The staff was wonderful and more than helpful with our requests for tours, places to see and things to do. They never acted put out by any of our requests. Everyone there was polite and very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and do intend to revisit.
