    We were wandering around the Town of Jean Lafitte and stopped at this local eatery for a late lunch. It was a friendly place where locals come in for the company as well as the gumbo.

    We ordered the Appetizer Combination Platter and were surprised when the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp and Bacon Wrapped Oysters were served DEEP FRIED along with their toothpicks. The batter was light and very tasty; as were the fried crab claws. Caution on eating one too many.

    Jan's Restaurant: Really good food seafood platter is good as well as seafood gumbo
