| About: | This fabulous little cafe is conveniently located next to the popular Maple Leaf Bar. The cafe is under the direction of Jacques Leonardi and his right hand man, Austin Leslie. Plastic flap walls and tables with floral, plastic tablecloths give it a casual feel. Despite the decor, crowds flock to this cafe. The food is delicious and the prices are even better. Entrees of Chicken-Fried Venison in Wild Mushroom Gravy, and Grilled Duck Breast in Orange Soy Glaze come specially recommended. All entrees include a house salad and two side dishes. |

one of the best restaurants in new orleans. It has imaginative dishes, great atmosphere and gives you a great amount of food.
alligator cheescake and the stuffed porkchop are the best dishes there. I love this restaurant. Be prepared to wait at least an hour on the weekend
Great food and atmosphere. I had the alligator cheesecake and deep-fried roastbeef Po'Boy as an appetizer. The main meal was blackened redfish with a spicy hollandaise sauce. All this followed by a cre'me broule. Exceptional!
I then personnally met Jack and visited with him (he is a fellow Coastie) over cocktails at the bar.
This place is a must visit for when you go to New Orleans. Hands-down a great time.
I was here from Michigan for the annual HCCA conference and dined at Jacques-Imo's restaurant for the first time. We thought it was absolutely fantastic! I ate out every night in this lovely city and the best food I had was at Jacques-Imos. It came highly recommended by the locals that we talked to. I had the best fried chicken here. Other then the hostess and another female waitress that were semi-friendly, the rest of the staff was cordial and polite. Often, checking on us to ensure that we were having a good dining experience. And that we did. I will definitely visit New Orleans again and come to this restaurant. Kudos to the owner and his staff for making our dining experience a superb one.
