| About: | Established almost 20 years ago by Kerry Boutte, Mulate's has become known as the King of Cajun Dine and Dance. Mr. Boutte, a native of Cajun heritage, has created a forum combining great Cajun music and cuisine. Appointments such as ceiling fans and red checked table clothes reflect the simplicity of the Cajun style. The celebration comes alive every evening with live music from 7p. The menu boasts a variety of favorites of grilled or fried alligator and stuffed mushrooms. Entrees such as the Crawfish Etouffe and the Seafood Platter with Gumbo are worth checking out. The house special, Catfish Mulate is a culinary creation not to be missed. |

Fun Good food 1st time visit to the Big Easy enjoyed the sampler platter, loved the crawfish, best of all was the band & the dancing my girlfriend got up and played the wash board... a true New Orleans experience!!!!!! Sept 09
I was the for The NYG 2009 "Jesus, Justice, Jazz" and we ate there. IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! I loved it so much the alligator was so yummy and the dancing was great!!
rude and poor service. we were place at the doorway a group of 8 so that as new patrons entered they "bumped"into the people on the end.
Red beans and rice was great , blackened frog legs were cold. steak was cold, augratin dish not very good.
Our waiter never came back to our table to ask if things were ok if we needed anything, IF he happened to walk by we would have to stop him to ask for water another drink dessert menus whatever. I would NEVER recommend this place there are too many other great
places to eat in in NOLA
