About:This French-market coffee stand, established in 1862, offers a menu of dark coffee and chicory, beignets, white or chocolate milk and freshly-squeezed orange juice. Cafe Du Monde is one of the most popular places in New Orleans for singles, couples and families. You may have to wait for a table during the busiest morning hours. While the coffee is certainly good, most people come for the famous, fresh-from-the-fryer beignets.     First time was great. Second time, service was awful. Waiters just stood around and stared at you, even though you motioned to them you were ready to place your order. To make matters worse, the manager wouldn't help get our table service by a waiter, despite my request twice! Not worth it.

    love going down here! had their iced coffee for the 1st time and it was awesome. service is quick and prices are great

    No complaints here. This culture rich area is filled with some of the best restaurants in the country. Cuisines from all over combine into one melting pot within the streets running near the Cafe. The Beignets are a welcome treat in the morning for breakfast. Outstanding. More than enough reason for me to return to New Orleans for a vacation. I warn you though, if you are someone who does not like large crowds, it's best you send someone in for you for this is a popular spot.
