| About: | Houston's is for romantics and close friends, outfitted with low lighting and large comfortable booths. Representing the restaurants local roots, are the flags of Louisiana and France that adorn the beautiful vaulted ceiling. The bar sits to one side allowing those awaiting their table to listen to the piano; or to enjoy a drink while they look out over the restaurant. Houston's American cuisine is wonderful plus moderately priced and the wait staff is dedicated to creating a superb dining experience. Reservations are not accepted and the restaurant can be busy on weekends; be prepared for a half-hour wait or more. |

User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThe staff organization and service at the St. Charles Avenue location were exceedingly poor. Though I had conventional expectations for seating and serving, the managment uttlerly failed in the most fundamental respects. Menu is what one would expect from a chain restaurant. There are far too many supurb dining alternatives in the City of New Orleans to waste an evening here. As a New Orleanian, I'm embarrased to admit to having dined at Houston's.

I have dined at Houston in the Past and can agree with all of the other review, but was very disappointed when I tried to make reservation for 10 people and Mandy told me that they don't make reservation for more than 5 people. My company have visitors from out of town a lot and we enjoy taking the out of towners to try different New Orleans style foods. Sincerly P&G HR
