| About: | Located just steps away from the French Market, this is a casual eatery specializing in Po' Boy sandwiches and the hearty breakfast. Dual entrances make this cafe easily accessible from Chartres Street, as well as the French Market. The interior may be small and dark, but all is excused once you are served some of the serious New Orleans home-style cooking. Plate lunches make this a popular place with the business crowd at lunch but tourists do not be warned off. Try going in the morning for its breakfast. Hop in devour the designated specials served on most days of the week. |

if you like high grade DOGFOOD and bad service.it's a great place.Ten years ago this was a nice place to eat.i've given it 5+ chances since Katrina and i wont go there again.
I had eaten at Fiorella's in 2005 during Mardi Gras and absolutely loved their Angel Hair pasta and spicy meatball. We returned to New Orleans just last week for Mardi Gras again. We had 40 people that took this trip and a few people went to eat there and said that it was not good at all. So our group of 8 decided to see for ourselves and 4 of us ordered the pasta with the spicy meatball..and was exactly as I remembered.....delicious!! The meatball was the size of a softball and melts in your mouth! The others ordered dressed shrimp po boys and they said they were excellent. We all had fried pickles and they are the best ever!! I have read alot of reviews on Fiorella's and some people are being absolutley ridiculous with the way they expect things to be....come on people, they are trying to get things back to normal after Katrina and it is going to take awhile!! This was my 3rd time visiting New Orleans, the other 2 were post katrina and some things were different. I love New Orleans and think the city is doing the best job they can considering what they were out through!
Fiorella's has long been one of my favorites. I certainly appreciated it immediately after getting back into the city post-Katrina. The hours were short at that time since there were few service industry workers back in town. I have to say that the last two visits have been thoroughly disappointing. The service has not been great and the famous fried chicken was really bland. They've revamped the menu and no longer have the Natichoses Meat Pies, which I really enjoyed. I've marked Fiorella's as a once great establishment that will need to prove itself before I go back.
