Lee's Hamburgers

There's only one thing that can be said - GREAT! This is not the place to go to if you're on a diet. The food is strictly comfort food and worth every penny. And according to a sign on the side of the road, LEE'S is moving down the road to West Gause Blvd.

A Lee hamburger is THE burger i have been searching for my whole life. Its the best. I go there at least once a week, the service is fantastic and friendly. The meat comes in fresh throughout the day. I havent had anything else but a burger there but im sure all of their food is great as well. It may be just a hole in the wall food joint but let me tell you it is worth making the stop. The owner is really cool, greets me with a handshake and some small talk for a little bit if it aint too busy. They been making burgers for 100 years so let that comfort you that they know how to make it right. As your you wait at a table with ticket in hand, you can take a look around at all of the photographs of old new orleans and paintings of all the owners to keep your mind busy while you patiently wait for your order to be delivered. When your order of a half pound lee burger cooked in grilled onions and smothered in shredded yellow cheese arives take a moment to get a deep breath. As you unwrap the monster wouth watering burger an aroma of greatness and pure extascy is experienced. Biting into the burger sends your taste buds on a ride in a 2000 horsepower car. I love their cheeseburgers but I am marking them down a star because it seems every other time we go during their hours of operation, they are closed for one reason or another. Very disappointing when your whole family is looking forward to dinner there!
