| About: | COFFEE: A small local roaster roasts the beans for our shops twice a week. You'll find the house blend, a basic Colombian supremo, every day, as well as a medium and dark roast, a flavored blend, and a decaf that change daily. Rue de la Course makes a great cafe mocha (and an iced version, too), and the beautiful layered latte is served in a pilsner glass. The house specialty is the Latte Delight, a latte made with the customer's choice of 23 flavorings. FOOD: Rue de la Course claims to have the largest coffeehouse pastry selection in town, including wonderful New York-style cheesecake, huge muffins, and pecan and cinnamon rolls. They don't serve any other food. CLIENTELE: The crowd ranges from Fortune 500 types and women in fur dropped off by their chauffeurs to grungy college students. |

This is definitely the most unique, authentic coffee house experience you will be a part of on the Northshore. The coffee is the best around too. The people are friendly, the service is great, the atmosphere is second-to-none. You will feel at home at St. John's
WiFi hot Spot and good coffee: St. John's Coffeehouse is a prime location for quaint downtown people-watching. Great coffee. Good sandwiches. THe biggest plus is the free WiFi offered. So, if you forget to bring your book to read and you don't like the reading selection offered, you can take out your laptop and get busy. There's also a desktop computer for customer use. Friendly staff.
Eclectic & Divine: If you're searching for that artsy beatnik kind of coffee shop - this is it! Poetry readings, awesome beverages and pastries too. Not to mention wifi and chess. If you want to sit and read a book with your coffee or chat over latte with a friend - St. John's is the place to do it!
