User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI have had lunch here quite a few times over the years but until recently my travels never brought me through Amite, La. So I did not know how much I missed not only the food but also the Ardillo family. The food is wonderful and wonderfully fresh as is the humor of the waitress' and as well as most of the guest who have been eating there for decades. They never forget a customer as was proven by Mr. Ardillo's asking where I'd been for so long upon my return.
So all I can say is it is never too late to feel like one of the family so get to Ardillo's for lunch as fast as you can. My bet is that you too will soon become a regular.
A great place to eat lunch serving very good, wonderful fresh food and just the best of service, with a smile and a little bit of that good old down-home attitude.
What can I say other than come in, sit down, enjoy and "Mangia".

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI have to make it part of my visit home: I lived in Amite half my life then moved to Houston,my family is all still in Amite. When I go home to visit, I have to make that part of my visit. You always see someone you know there, it's like one big family. My favorite thing there is the Oyster Po-Boy. I can't get them in Houston like that. Try them you will love them. The Daily Specials are great, but thoysters are still my fav. You have to try Ardillo's if you haven't, trust me you will go back.
