User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsTampicos is the best, I've been eating at all their resturants since 1978, when I moved to Patterson. I've eaten at Morgan City, Bayou Vista and New Iberia. I live 60 miles north of Lafayette, but my daughter lives there and every time I visit, that's my treat.To go to Tampicos. Serjo is my favorite waiter. I wished they would put Tampicos in Alexandria to show these northerns what good mexican food is supposed to taste like. Thanks

I hate this restaraunt! We had the worst waiter. He never checked on us, and they didn't even bring out everything we ordered. Not only that but He did such a bad job I only tipped him a dollar. The next day I go check my bank statement online and my bill is $3.00 higher. He changed the 1 into a 4. So I called and talked to the manager and told him what happened and he looked up my ticket and said,"yes you're right the gratuity is only a dollar and for some reason he put 4. I'm going to have to bring that to his attention." He should have been FIRED! I suggest if anyone goes to this restaraunt you should bring cash and not pay with a credit card.

An automatic 20% is added to credit card bills, but after 3 days or so it is adjusted to the correct amount. Their credit card machines are set up this way. The food is awesome, no complaints.
