    My brother was 10 yrs old at the time, he complained about severe stomache pain and had a low grade fever which persisted for two days. The doctor on-call admitted him to the hospital because she was concerned about his symptoms. She notified Dr.Atwi, he arrived promptly. Dr. Atwi applied pressure to the lower right portion of my brother's abdomen, my brother showed extreme discomfort. Dr.Atwi stated he needed to perform an emergency appendectomy. He saved my brother's life!!! My family and I can't find words to express our gratitude.
    Since then I have chosen him for my four children and I recommend him to my friends and associates. I am very please with his service, warmth and it is always a pleasant experience. He is attentive and shows genuine concern for my kids health. Last but not least his staff, especially Mrs. Tammy, Ms. Liza, the male nurse, and the brunette nurse are helpful and have a positive attitude. I must add the facility is clean and they play cartoon movies for the kids in the lobby, definetly a plus. Kudos, keep up the excellent service!

    My adopted daughter.: Dr. Atwi, has been my child doctor before we finalize the adoption. I was so nervous being a first time mom and all the problems astma, adha, so forth and so on. Dr. Atwi and staff helped me to understand and even gave me websites to further understand my child conditions. We had plans to leave the state of Louisiana but decided to stay after meeting Dr. Atwi and staff we just decided to stay.

    Job well done guys. Ms. Tammy especially. WOW keep up the good work!!

    Recommendation: My son Gaelen is an asthmatic and has been a chronic asthmatic since the age of 3 months. We have been seeing Dr. Atwi since the day he came to New Iberia when my son was about 1 1/2 yrs and he is still his primary physician. I have never had more confidence in a doctor as I do with Dr. Atwi, and when it comes to my son's life, I would trust no one else. When my son has a severe attack, he will call home to check on him, how many doctors do you know who will do that? He truly is concerned about his patients and not just when he sees them in his office. I now only bring my son to him, but, I as well see him for my asthma and allergies; I would go to no one else. I can honestly say I have never found a more apt and caring physician as he. I highly recommend for any child and any adult who has asthma or allergies.
