About:Roberto's River Road Restaurant, located in an 1850s building that once housed the J.J. LaPlace & Sons, Inc. general store 13 miles south of Baton Rouge, offers good ole' southern food including chicken fried steak, fried sweet potato chips, catfish, seafood gumbo, eggplant crab cakes, and chocolate caramel pie. Lunch is served Monday through Friday and dinner is offered Thursday through Saturday.

    this restaurant is located on River Rd. in Sunshine, LA. This map is outdated. I called to confirm directions and they said they moved a long time ago. Call for new directions!

    I'll add my kudos to this great restaurant that's just a short ride from B. R. I particularly liked their Crawfish Bisque; the way it's done here is rather unusual. I'll put a plug in for Roberto's BOILING POT too. It's open seasonally only and in the drive thru that used to be the chicken place on Burbank at Gardere. Possibly the best boiled crawfish in the city!

    Great Place! Service with a smile. Food was outstanding. Recommend the sweet potato chips for starts.
