$398.00 ripoff: i took my work car to the service dept in sulphur,la because as soon as the motor warmed up it would quit and the service engine light would come on . It could not be restarted untill it cooled completely.they said it was the coolent sensor , and replaced it ,changed the antifreeze ,which it did not need because i had just replaced the radiator and heater core and had all new coolent added.the car ran rough and when i stopped in my yard it stoped also. after paying $398.00 i was still where i started.it just so happened a friend of mine from out of state ,who happened to be a very good mechanic,came by.i told him what happened,and he said let me look at it .the problem was a small rubber hose was cracked and split.it cost .27 cents at the napa parts house to replace it and my car has ran perfect since.that was in october 2006.when i went to the service manager ,he said he would check in to it and refund me part of my money.he had both of my phone # ,and i have not heard from him since.that was 5 months ago.
