User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThe quality of this place has gone down, alot. On my last visit 10/16/09 the food was marginal, the service was terrible and the owner is a crusty curmudgeon who tries to come across as cute, until you say something he doesn't like, then he's just nasty. (by the time our drinks arrived, from another server as the initial one figured a larger table and tip was worth more of attention than our small party we were nearly finished with our entrees). When we said something to the old jerk that runs the place, he was both insulting and not at all helpful. From a safety standpoint there isn't near enough ventilation or safety exits (I assume it was grandfathered in because its a "historical site") and its not the cleanest place, but that's just sour grapes. Ultimately we'll never eat there again, no will anyone we have influence over.

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAwesome!!: This place is awesome! It's a small mom and pop restaurant with great food. The portions are awesome and the food is amazing. The best seafood gumbo I've ever had came from this place. You must try it.
