I've been eating at Mike Anderson's since I lived in Tigerland back in the late 70's. Their quality never seems to vary. Always excellent food. After moving to Ascension Parish, we made the move from the Lee Drive location in Baton Rouge to the Gonzales location. They just completely remodeled and the food, atmosphere, and service is better than ever. We recently had a fifty year anniversary dinner for my parents at Mike's. Twelve people, and everything was brought out at the same time hot and steamin'. All the food is seasoned for the cajun palate, not bland like a lot of restaurants are doing to please the touristas. Many thanks to Ms. Lou the manager and server Lamar for an excellent dining experience.
If you are looking for great seafood you have found the right place. Good food and service I will be back.
Great Seafood - Fantastic Variety: Very prompt, friendly service.
Reasonable pricing. Try their various specialty platters. Be prepared to take food home because the portions are large. Their Gumbo is worth trying.
