Campus federal bank of B.R. La, is the worst bank EVER! Do not, Repeat DO Not, Under any circumstances, think you are safe dealing with this so-called bank! If you have a loan with them and get behind, they will freeze your acct. and give you no money to live on whatsoever! That is if you have direct deposit. They will just close for a 4 day weekend and leave your acct. frozen so that you cant use your atm or anything, and you have to wait until they reopen before you can get it cleared up and have access to your money! in the meantime you have just went 4 days with money sitting in your acct. that you cant access! I think this is illegal, and i am now looking for an attorney.

I think if you get behind on your account than why wouldn't they have the right to freeze your account. I love campus federal. It is a wonderful bank. Stay up on your payments and then they won't "freeze" your account!!! That is what is wrong with America, it is always someone elses fault when it comes to paying THEIR bill!!!!!!!!
Okay... I read this and had to laugh! First of all, it's Campus Federal CREDIT UNION. Which is not a "Bank". There is a major difference. Secondly, if you get behind on your loan... I'm sure they tried to contact you to let you know you were late so you should have taken care of your business. Thirdly, all financial institutions have the right to freeze/take the funds from your deposit accounts to help pay for the loans you are delinquent. This is called "Right of Offset". Look it up... I'm sure you'd be shocked to know it is also in the account agreement you recieved when you opened your account :). Good Luck with your attorney... I'm sure it won't help your case. Happy Banking :)
