I got a vibe of racism from this boutique. You should never judge a customer by the color of their skin and you should treat everyone the same. No, there was not outright racism, but it was there. I probably had more money to spend than anyone else in the store, but do you think they will be getting my business? No! There are cute clothing at good prices though. But I'm sorry, I rather pay more for better customer service. I feel sad for people like that. It must be hard going through life feeling that an entire race of people are a threat to you.

I'm sorry but I do not believe for one second that this is true.. This store caters to so many customers and has been around for over 25 years... I think your vibe is wrong...

Sounds like the pot is trying to call the kettle black.....I'll speculate to say that since you (thought that you had) more money to spend than anybody else, you expected them to kiss your butt and they didn't, so now you think that they're racist. It's people like you that spread racism like an infection.

Bobby, you're speculating wrong. What I meant by saying that I probably had more money to spend than anyone else, was not to say that b/c I "thought" I did that they should kiss my butt, but it was meant to mean that you shouldn't stereotype someone based on appearance b/c you can be mistaken.(Although to be honest, based on appearance, other than maybe my mixed race you would have no bad stereotypes to apply to me) Ex: Some tend to stereotype and say to themselves, oh this person looks like "white trash" or oh this person looks like a "dumb southerner" or oh this person is black, asian, mexican, whatever, so they probably don't have any money to spend so therefore I see no need to acknowledge them. I don't expect anyone to kiss my butt, but when a customer comes in (with a big greeting smile on their face at that), I would at least expect workers to give a hello, or a smile, or nod or something other than a look out the side of their eye and then back at one another. I have friends of ALL races, viewpoints, genders, orientations, etc, and I love, view and treat them equally, as they do me. I think I can spot a little racism when I feel it, and I am one to really always try to see the best in people and give them the benefit of the doubt. That is just what I felt that day and actually since then I have been back (when different workers were present) and I had a totally different experience. Everyone was nice, and they still have cute clothing at a great price. Tamara I am glad to have had a better experience since then. Bobby R, try not to speculate next time, because you were way off base.
