We have alwyas used Ashley, at one point we had to use another vet in town for an emergency, (she had a death in her family) One beagle was missed diagnosed, was told an abcess in the neck but was a blood clot. She tried to save him but already had been to much time hed bled to death. We called the vet that had orignally treated him but they didnt want us to bring him back in, they didnt care, only want the money for big animals. The second time(another death in her family) she has been through alot last year. A bullet was lodged in his neck, he is a hunting beagle took him in was attacked by something, they stapled his leg sowed him lip back on just looked at his neck, said another abcess. Well it wasnt it was a bullet lodged in his throat for 6 months, The wound would seal over then drain oh that is what it is suppose to do, Welp she x-rayed and yes a bullet from a pistol. He had started coughing so we took him to Ashley. She loves her animals and their owners. I will not change again. Now I have supplies for our dog until we can get to Ashley because I can do better than another vet.
Some people need to look at what happens! What was the reason she was performing surgery on the dog below??? Was it an injury? Sometimes there are not definate answers as to what to do to correct an issue and a vet must make a decision as to what he or she thinks would be best! It doesnt always work that way! Did they take the dog back to her for evaluation or just skip it all together and go see someone else! I used to work for Dr Buffington and personally know her to be an amazing vet! I have worked for several vets since then, and currently work for a very prestigious clinic in MN and to this day I would value her opion as one of the best!
i'll never go back: she made a terrible surgical mistake with my dog which later after two more surgeries by another vet, several hundred dollars and 78 days in excruciating pain caused him to lose his leg

There has got to be more to this story. I dont believe Ashley would treat an animal like that. That is not her ethics or her style. Something must have been more wrong.
