It is a great restaurant!Old-fashioned decoration, friendly ambiance, big portions and scumptuous dishes!Highly recommended in the Monroe area!!!Try the ravioli with meatsauce.:)

While the atmosphere is definitely "kitchy", I could hardly rate this little restaurant as 5 stars. The food is pretty good, but nothing five star about it! It's served pretty plainly, and is more "home cooking" (at least at lunch) than gourmet.

I love to eat here, but it's more of a local's favorite because of the history rather than a fine dining experience. It's one of those restaurants that every single person in a small town has a story about. If you are in Monroe, you should check it out, but don't expect a "five star" establishment...it's more plate-lunch by day, generic but good italian by night.
