User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsWe keep trying!: We've eaten here about four times now and keep hoping for it to be good, but... yesterday may be the last time. We've tried the crawfish and it's just not up to Louisiana's standard and it makes me sad to think that out-of-towners think this is authentic. The snapper was pretty bland, the fried catfish was awful and much, much too greasy, the gumbo was embarassingly bad - the person who ordered it will be reluctant to try gumbo ever again!
The best thing about the place are the waitresses - they're very sweet and accomodating. The whole place could use a good cleaning, too.
User Rating: 2 out of 5 starswill never go back: my daughter and I visited Savoie's for the first time last night. We arrived shortly after 5PM. We placed an order for one platter of crawfish. Almost an hour later later I noticed that our waitress "delivered" an order of crawfish to the table behind us. The people at this table arrived approx 10 minutes after we did. (We still had not received our order). 15 minutes later we finally got our order minus the potatoes and corn. According to our server they had run out of potatoes and corn. She assured us that they were being cooked at that moment. 20 minutes later after finishing our crawfish we informed our server that we did not want the potatoes or corn. She then stated that that's ok because we still haven't cooked the potatoes or corn. What a lousy experience. To top it off the crawfish was not good.
