User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsSlaydens Bar-B-Que: Best in Bastrop since 1969: Great atmosphere for family dining on the go. You see the food being cooked while you stand in line. Also great for people who are traveling through Bastrop. Friendly workers. The BBQ sauce has been a favorite in Bastrop for years. Spicy, but good. Desserts are pie,cobblers, cake: Chocolate Pie, Lemon Ice Box, Coconut, Peach cobbler, Blackberry cobbler and many others and all are great.

Good for just going through Bastrop or just visiting...no matter what the occassion. Best stop for travelers and truckers.
