The best thing about Copelands is the atmosphere...feelslike one of those old smoky joints
bogey might have hung out in. Formal waitstaff, very attentive to your wants and needs.
The food is on par with other resturants of this caliber...anything other than fried tends to taste fresher, the fried seafood might well have come from the freezer section at Kroger. Fantastic coffee.
Get there early for the champaigne brunch!
We had an awesome experience at this location! It started from the moment we arrived and didn't stop until we left! If the objective is to give the guest a WOW! experience, they definitely deliver! The service was impeccable, the food was hot, fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was easy-going and laid back. We will definitely be back!!
Was not impressed with the place. It felt like just another chain restaurant.
I ordered the wood grilled chicken on yams. It came with carmelized onions and pecans. They brought is out so fast, it must have been sitting under the heat lamp, just waiting for somebody to order one. Chicken was dry, spices were overpowering and the pecans were hard to find. The mashed yams were too thin. The biscuit was good, but I had to ask for butter. The soda tasted like colored water.
For desert I had the Napoleon cheesecake with white chocolate rasberry sauce. The cake portion of the desert was dry, even though it was supposed to be a pudding cake. The chocolate sauce was thin and runny, and didn't stick to the cheesecake like it should. Rasberry seemed like a syrup from IHOP.
Service was acceptable, although I have had much better from Denny's.
I give it one star and will never go there again. Mickey D's is better than this.
