My wife and I had dinner at Jayne Marie On Cross Lake this past Thursday night. I travel frequently and dine at the best restaurants. I have to say Jayne Marie has outstanding food. Both my wife and I had the New York Strip and it was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. She serves USDA Prime beef. Service was good and the manager was gracious. We did not order dessert but enjoyed our bottle of wine and will be back often. Entertainment that evening was a great Jazz group which was perfect for the atmosphere.
I ate in the bar at Jayne's on July 30, 2008. The experience was unique and will be back soon! There was a very sweet little brunette bartending, she managed to make an entertaining conversationalist. The food was exceptional as well, will be back soon.
My husband and I had a horrible experience with this restaurant. The manager was rude the hostess a complete bafoon. Could not tell you about the food because we ordered a bottle of wine before anything else and waited 20 minutes before the waiter came back to take our food order and when we questioned him about the wine he went back to get the wine. We waited another 15 minutes for the wine it never arrived. We asked the manager to retrieve our quest check and we waited 10 minutes for that and it never arrived so we went to the cashier paid for the drinks that we ordered from the bar when we first arrived waiting for our table, and left. I would not recommend this retaurant to anyone.
