The food is out of this world....especially the fried catfish. The prices are reasonable, service is outstanding and I love the casual atmosphere. I wish they would wear gloves when reaching into the plastic containers to get the onions, pickles & lemons to put on the tables. I don't like the overparched peanuts but can sometimes find them not overdone. My biggest complaint is that the fish on the wall has ketchup stains, grease, etc. They need to do a better job cleaning. I still go very frequently because the place is awesome!
Cajun Catfish is a peanuts-on-the-floor kinda place. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. In my experience, the service has also been really nice (and very considerate). And the fish on the walls only add to the fun atmosphere.
Well, maybe its just me, because I am from the Henderson/Lafayette area, but I am wondering how this place is still in business, not really because it is bad, but because of the selection. The food wasn't great but not terrible either. However, the selection and the service really stank. My department at work went there and the waitress came and checked on us twice. We barely got a menu, I guess the locals know what they serve....but no boiled nothing and no salads, come on. I wont go back. I'll wait til I go back home to get that kind of food.

Totally agree with your critique!!! This place is still in business for one reason, and one reason only! It can serve you a beer with your meal, and Paradise Catfish Kitchen, Fant's (last time I checked), and Bill's Fish & Fowl (last time I checked), better catfish restaurants in the area in my opinion, cannot. Never did understand why folks are willing to tolerate average food just because they can have a beer with that average food.
