The Alexandria Zoo is still one of Louisiana's Best Kept Secert's. For a Family it's a great place for the kids cause the will see all kind's of animals. For the Adult's it may even rekindle that spark that could be missing. It's nestled in town next to the Historic Bringhurst Field. If you are coming to town to visit friends or just for a Softball Game I would Suggest a visit to our Zoo that has a big Heart.... I also am sad that this zoo lost it's Zoo Director Mr. Les Whitt of a Heart attack last month... Please go and See and if you can Help support Our ZOO THE ALEXANDRIA ZOO
Visiting this zoo was good expierence not expensive kept my kids entertained great for family time pretty good size just wish i had gotten there earlier so we could have got on the train they got and so the kids could have played on the playground they have.
I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the zoo was. It was so shadey and the admission price was surprisingly inexpensive. The animals were lively and the landscaping was very well done. The playground was a nice surprise and gave the adults a chance to regroup and the kids a chance to run about. We loved the Louisiana habitat area. It will be one of our regular outings in the future. Well done.
