COLD FEET AND VOLUNTEER TO GOT OVERSEAS AND SHE,LOUISE MARRRIED MY BEST FRIEND,ALEX.
1964 - I graduated from Bolton High School. My four years at Bolton were years of great change in my life and that of society in general. Viet Nam was just heating up - many of us could not take advantage of college because we had siblings to help through their own primary schooling.
After years of building businesses in several industries and in dealing with people at the highest levels of corporations and industry, in 2005 my company was bought by a major bank. I then used my resume and experience to help a company go public. Since then I have turned my attention to writing fulltime.
In January 2008 my first book was published. "Fire Your Financial Planner" became a bestseller in two weeks. With many online and corporate sales, in a few weeks it will be hitting book stores across the country. To learn more, go to www.ronfirmin.com where you can order your own copy.
My many growing experiences at BHS helped shape me into the man I have become. My old BHS buddy, John Slaughter, lives near me in TN - we often get together. He comes to my book signings and I am a sometime guest on his radio talk show which generates the most listeners in this area.
I can't wait to see my old buddy, Marvin Bernard, when I am back in Alexandria in early March.
Meanwhile, I am off on my 2nd trip to China in three months. I will there again in May. My new book, Twenty Days In China, is due for release later in 2008.
