I have be eating here for years. The chopped brisket sandwich is great, and the ribs are good, but I don't add the bbq sauce. (The bbq sauce is not that good.) I love the beans, but the potato salad is not to my liking due to the overwhelming amount of celery seed added. It is very over powering, and pungent! They do have wonderful pies to chose from, and I always love the homemade onion rings & fried mushrooms! YUM. The service here could definitely be improved upon. I would give it an overall thumbs up for the food however.

I've eaten here several times. not because of the quality of the BBQ, but this is Magnolia and there aren't very many good places to eat. the food over all is ok. it could be seasoned better. the BBQ from day to day seems not to be consistent, in regards to tenderness. the beans are basically "cowboy" type beans. good but not creative. it's a good place to eat. service is sometimes slow, sometimes ok. very small dining room. can get packed in a hurry. but don't expect gourmet. it's not. a bit pricey for the quality. someone wrote the BBQ sauce has a Tab. flavor. I suspect it's LA hot sauce. Tabasco doesn't have a flavor. it's just heat. good flavor to the sauce though, not my complete liking. but good enough. maybe someone will put a new place in soon........ just your average BBQ place in a small town in south arkansas.....

I drove all the way frm Little Rock because I had heard this places food was to die for. I was really not that happy with the food. The prices way too high for the food, service, yep slowwww.
I think they should have a rib dinner so you don't ave to order a whole slab of ribs, that is too much for one person and a lot a times you don't want to take the left overs home, especially is you are not going there. Don't think I will be back.
