User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI have traveled all over this country and have tried some of the best restaurants. I have yet to find a better steak than the one called "The Tombstone" which is served at this restaurant.

BEST STEAK HOUSE IN MENA AND SURROUNDING AREAS. THE BBQ IS EVEN BETTER THAN MCCLARDS IN HOT SPRINGS...BEST SHRIMP AND CATFISH IN MENA .
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsVery average BBQ, comparable to Rib Crib or other chain BBQ joints. Generic molasses-based BBQ sauce. Not bad, but pricey for the quality. If you're in Mena and you want BBQ, either drive to Hot Springs and go to McClard's or Stubby's or get some 'cue from the Country Express convenience store just down the road. Their BBQ is actually quite good, if inconsistent, and a much better value than Branding Iron. If you're a casual BBQ fan, you'll probably be satisfied, but if you're a BBQ connoisseur, you'll likely be disappointed.

I'm glad that I had the 'poorest' of reviews from someone who prefers 'chain' B-B-Q joints and is a 'connoisseur' of them. And I don't use a generic molasses based sauce,- mines made from scratch and I sell tons by the pint, evidently not to conniosseurs however. We are family owned, and a family member is here every open hour and many hours that we are closed. And yes,- we do sell wonderfull steaks. Sorry for the obvious frustration that this review caused me, but we work hard to ensure quality and use nothing but the best ingredients and meats that we can find. By the way, Country Express is quite good and I have found them to be very consistent, but then again,- I'm no connoisseur. Give us a try, Thanks, Wil The Branding Iron B-B-Q & Steakhouse Mena AR
