Dr. Martin is an AMAZING vet my family has been using him since before i was born. Almost two years ago my husband and I adopted our first son from the animal shelter in cabot and we took him in for just a check up to make sure he was healthy and come to find out he has heart worms which the shelter did not tell us. After a year of shots he no longer has his heart worms and he is as happy as ever we still have to take him in in the spring time to get shots for his allergies but i love dr martin and his stuff they are super amazing =)
If I could give this clinic a 0 stars I would. I took my cat to see this so called Doctor back in 2009. My cat had a sore in her mouth, when he examined her he said she needed to have her teeth cleaned. So he prescribed her some antibiotics to heal the sores and we set an appointment to have her teeth cleaned. We should have never taken her back. When we picked her up after having her teeth cleaned she was still drugged. She had pooped all over herself, and the nurse just handed her to us with poop all on her but and some of it was dried so it wasn t like she just did it, she had been lying there for a while with that on her but. When we got her home I told my husband something wasn t right. She wouldn t eat and we had no emergency number to call this guy. So we took her back to this idiot, he said he wanted to keep her for a few days. So we left her in his care, which I wish I would have never done. I picked her up and he told me she was going to be fine. A few days later, she was still hardly moving around or eating. So I made an appointment with another vet. Turns out her kidneys were failing. IDIOT Dr. Martin, over drugged her when he cleaned her teeth and it caused her kidneys to fail. I had no choice but to put her to sleep, she was suffering. My baby of 12 years had to suffer more than she should have ever had to because this guy doesn t know what he is doing. If you pet means something to you don t take them to this guy, spend the extra money to have a real vet take care of your pet.
We just had a similar problem. We took our guinea pig into him because her leg and neck was hurt. He looked her over and said she had sprained her leg and neck and would be fine. He put her in antibiotics just in case and sent her home. 3 days later she was worse, wasn t eating walking or drinking so I did some research and come to find out the antibiotic he put her on is lethal to guinea pigs. She is now at another vet haveing to be hospitalized for a few days, pumped with steroids and fluids and we are praying it saves her. I contacted the animal medical board and have opened a case against him. He does NOT need a liscense!!!
I have been using Doc Martin for 18 years now. He is a compassionate man who loves animals. He is a no nonsense, good old fashioned vet. We love him dearly. He is very affordable and at times I think too affordable. I have never had any problems using him. His staff is very friendly too! I don't know what we will do, should he ever retire! Thanks Dr. Martin for all you have done for our furkids!!!
