User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWe reserved a king room on the 4th of July. Our room didn't face the river, but it appears that the south facing rooms are larger. Our room was extremely comfortable... the bed was so comfortable that we didn't want to get up. The 42" flat panel TV was so large you could see it from the sofa or the bed equally...felt like home theatre. Even though the hotel was being remodeling during our stay, the noise was minimal, the staff extra helpful, and I hope to return again soon. Trolley line right outside the door for Riverfront activities. PS, we walked across a bridge just outside the hotel and had the best seats in the 'house' / grass for watching the fireworks.

Acceptable: We have stayed at another Doubletree before and was excited about coming to this one for a national convention. The service was good. The check-in was good, although the counter help was frustrated even though no one else was checking in. The room had a queen size bed, but it wasn't hardly big enough for a regular bed. Every request was quickly honored. Parking was a little bit of a problem, even though it was free. Not a major problem, but certainly not the same as valet. Iron was leaky, but functional. Price was very good, Value was very good. I would stay here again, but I hope the room would be larger. Great staff! Covenient to all events we had to go to.
Not much in close restaurants of any kind. When feeding a family of 4 it is important to have access to fast food restaurants. Several are available but are not within walking distance. 
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsExcellent Getaway: I never stayed at this hotel before, and surprised my wife with a weekend getaway, I reserved the Governors Suite with an awesome view of the river, and the room was awesome. However, if you smoke, well get a standard room or go downstairs, they have no suites available for smoking but this still did not keep us from having a good time!! The room was beautiful, and the space was awesome I will definatly be going back hoping to get the same room!! I would reccomend this room to anyone wanting a getaway for a special evening!! The staff is very friendly and other than the renovation in the bar, they still accomodate you with a plaza style bar in the lobby. The double tree really knows how to make things really seam like home!!
