| About: | After a minor setback by a fire, Igibon is back in business and better than ever with a new and improved menu. It serves terrific sushi (order a sushi plate to sample them all), Sashimi, Tempura and teriyaki dishes, as well as offers an extensive wine and beer selection. You can sample Sapporo, a popular beer in Japan. The employees treat the customers like family, which warrants coming back. Families occasionally frequent, but the main clientele tends to be those in their late 20s on up. |

Me and my cousin used to go here all the time. For a sushi bar it's really not all that expensive. The Staff is really friendly, they treated us like family every time we went in. We went there so much they new our names and gave my cousin free orange rolls and new that we wanted at the sushi bar when we went in and had an idea of what we wanted. The food is really good also. Almost every one I see on here is complaining about the wait but I have never had to wait, but I go to the sushi bar in the back instead of waiting on a table and I always call to see if they are crowded that might be why. But ask for the Igibon special of the day :) I have been to several other places and Igibon is my favorite sushi if you are looking for a Japanese steakhouse with the grill in front of you though Crazy Hibachi is the place to go there sushi is also good.
Ignore Game_Grrrl's review she is completely wrong. It makes me mad to see such a wonderful place slandered by this pathetic review. It looks like a MtFuji employee as she only has two reviews MtFuji five star and igibon one star.
Igibon is among the best most consistent sushi in town. I have been eating there off and on for eight years. The quality of sushi is very high and consistent. It is one of the most consistently great restauraunts in town. One day I asked the sushi chef how he managed to keep the quality so high and consistent. He told me his family eats the overhead or sushi that is borderline. He keep the sushi as fresh as possible for the customers and does not sell it at a discount like Mt Fuji does on their cheap day. Mt.Fuji served me sushi that was well beyond sell by date and I have not been back. They are gross. The only place that can compete with Igibon is Osaka but only on there inventive rolls as their sushi just isn't as fresh.
If you go before 7pm you can enjoy happy hour sushi which is $1 a piece and discounts on rolls. Two people can easily graze for $30. If you are in a hurry don't go because they take their time to make sure every thing is perfect. The chef is a true craftsman who cares about his craft. I don't mind a little wait from this impecable family run restauraunt.
The day before writing this I had another great experience at Igibon. The Squid, Octopus, Tuna, and Salmon were amazingly fresh and delicious. If you like spicy the Spicy Salmon and Spicy Tuna are among my favorites. When it comes to the rolls the Rock 'N Roll is my favorite. The caterpillar roll with sliced avacodo is so refreshing and crisp with flavor. A roll I recentl tried for the first time is the Volcano Roll too bad I can't remember what was in the roll. It was stacked with a sweet spicy sauce poured over the top. This is always served last as it is desert like.
The appatizer menu is very good as well. I love the sushi so much I never order off the menu anymore.
There may be one or two sushi places that can be on occasion as good as Igibon but none have matched the consistency and quality of Igibon. MtFuji no way terrible quality control. Kobe give me a freaking break. Seki Sui can't server anything the same or good twice. Sushi on Kavanaugh on some items can compete. Osaka a good run for the money at twice the price but they loose out on consistency.
Thank you for serving me quality sushi for so many years....
I LOVE YOU IGIBON!!!!!!!!
YOU ROCK!
This is my favorite sushi in Arkansas. My first 5 times here I had never tried sushi, but I kept coming back because it was such a cool atmosphere. Now the staff know me by name and know what table I prefer. They already know what I'll order when I come in, and always suggest one new thing to try (I ask them to.) The great thing is that I notice this level of service for every person who comes in the door. If you go with a group, you must get the Igibon Roll as a dessert. It is served hot with sweet (eel?) sauce and there are 12 pieces to share. This is the real deal. Everything is made fresh. I didn't know how great their quality was until I went everywhere else in L.R. Unbeatable. I give them a Five Plus.
