I had the opportunity to experience Shorty Small's in Little Rock, AR today. The food was excellent. Since I love to experiment with different entrees, I ordered the seafood ravioli. The ingredient were excellent. Lobster, crabmeat and scallops stuffed ravioli with a cream sauce containing sauteed shrimp. The dessert was oversized and I ended up taking some of both home.
My one complaint would be the wait staff were extra loud and sitting nearby rather than working. Their conversation somewhat marred the ambiance. But hopefully, that event was isolated.
Not impressed for the price: NOT impressed with Shorty's at all.
Our dishes stayed stacked on the table and we kept having to flag down people to have our drinks refilled as our waitress kept forgetting about us. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either.
I NEED MORE SHORTY SMALLS BBQ: USED TO THINK MCLARDS BBQ IN HOT SPRINGS WAS THE BEST, BUT GO TO SHORTYS AND EAT THE RIBS, AND FORGET THE REST..MMMMM
