Billy is SOOOOO wrong, he's as far off base and incorrect in his review, I don't know where to even start in correcting him.
Yes, it's in a building that used to be a dirty diner, 15-20 years ago. It is NOT dirty in any way now. Miguel's is fantastic, and has had the same owners for at least 15 years. It's family-owned & ran, and everyone is always very pleasant. They had one location on the south edge of Harrison, but it was tiny & always packed. They opened this location eventually, and had both open for a short time, before closing the older, smaller location. The portions are great, prices are good, and honestly, the food is absolutely terrific. Ignore Billy's review, he's wrong wrong wrong....did I say WRONGGG?
To anyone who has traveled will know that this restaurant is a joke. If you have ever had real mexican food then you will know this place is a sham, I mean really, it is owned by a white guy who thinks he knows something about mexican food. Back in the day when this was called "Dots" it was infested with bugs and was very nasty!!!! The owner is a joke and has no clue what he is doing. Word of advise, save your money or if you want something that is closer to mexican food then drive thru taco bell and get a bean burrito for 1.29. The food is nasty, nasty, nasty, did i say the food is NASTTY!!!!
All these reviews in favor of this place are either written by the owner, his relatives, or people who have sadly never eaten Mexican food. This was the most disappointingly inferior excuse for "Mexican" I think I have ever had in the US. I do not think the owners are aware that there are certain flavors associated with certain foods. And this requires the use of spices and cooking techniques. It does not count just calling something by a name and making it in that shape. If you live in Harrison, you may not have much choice. But if you do, pass this place up. It is horrible.
I gotta agree with Mr. DJ, Miguel's is great. I love how Benton Co. acts like his area is similar to a metropolitan cosmopolitan area like NYC or something. It's still ARKANSAS! lol
This review must have been written by Miguel's competition as we had lunch there today and it was OUTSTANDING! I would recommend just trying it and you'll see, worth the drive (we drove the 35 miles from Berryville).
