I first went to George's August 1981 and I remember it well. There was a three piece jazz band playing. That place charmed me immediatly. I met a lot of people there over the years and did a lot of living there...to what ever the music was. I plan to come back to Fayetteville to visit. George's is thee place for me to visit. I hope i can still light a cigarette in the garden.
A must of the dickson street bar hop. Last of a dying breed. While most of dickson street has gone the way of the douche filled meat market martini bar, Georges has retained it's soul and kept the tradition of live music alive.
Typically jam bands, but they occasionally have a little of everything, alt, techno, house, hardcore, etc.
Cheap drinks and cool atmosphere make this place, plus it's one of the most spacious places on dickson street.
I went to the Mushroomhead show here and it was unbelievable!!! George's has always been known for booking great acts, and this concert was no exception. There was plenty of room and the sound was incredible. Thank you George's for rocking so hard!! With a total of 6 acts for a reasonable $20, this concert was amazing!!!

I booked the show at George's.I am trying to work with George's and Music Hall to bring more acts like these to Fayetteville. Make people realize that it is good music. Hopefully more and more people will come. I am glad you enjoyed it. Mushroomhead guys and the rest of the bands enjoyed it and said they would be back.
