Honestly, the reviews I have seen that are good are surprising. I've been to Bordinos and had dinner. The menu is crap, it seems to have been created haphazzardly. Nothing about plate presentation jumps out--a bowl of pasta, I can do that at home. As for the actual food in itself, a medley of uncharacteristic flavors that tend to fight with each other versus actually complimenting one another. Not to mention they're overpriced. 4 meatballs in tomato sauce that cost you nearly $10; you could get a whole bag of meatballs at Walmart for $3 and a jar of tomato sauce for $1.50. Nothing near cutting edge culinary that I would've expected. Bordinos is not for people with a highly exemplinary taste pallet. I would much rather go to Olive Garden than waste my time and money at Bordinos.
As for the bar, great staff. However, the drink menu is unsatifying unless you're a newly 21 year old woman with no drinking experience. Everything is sweet. Nothing classic or "old school" for us old timers or those who enjoy a real cocktail.
I guess my BF and I are the only ones in town who are not Bordinos fans. We have gone 3 times, as other people keep inviting us there. In my opinion their food is only slightly above average. If we are spending that much, we MUCH prefer Theos or 1936 club.
The best: This is probably the best restaurant in NWA.
